Okay, there is a small catch to this offer…..but we promise it has nothing to do with a free cruise from Florida or winning the lottery in India!
Here’s the deal….
To celebrate the new season of the Sumpter Valley Dredge State Park…..we will offer a free scoop of ice cream (of course, you do get to choose your flavor!) to anyone who purchases a Friends of the Dredge membership while visiting the dredge in Sumpter.
A Friends of the Dredge membership really doesn’t cost that much and is a great way to become involved with the restoration and preservation of this great historic icon..……
even if you don’t live here.
As a Friends of the Dredge member, you will receive newsletters that will let you stay current with Sumpter Valley Dredge all year.
To learn more, just be sure to stop in at the Friends of the Dredge Interpretive Store on your next visit to the Sumpter Valley Dredge.
Sorry, but we do have to insert a small disclaimer here…..
To quality for your free scoop of ice cream, you must purchase a Friends of the Dredge membership while visiting the Sumpter Valley Dredge in person and at that time, you will receive a coupon that can be redeemed for a scoop of our regular hard ice cream.
This offer is good during the season of the Sumpter Valley Dredge State Park
which ends Oct 31st, 2014.

Are you one of those people who resist the coming of the holidays each year? Does the mention of Holidays send you running to hide in your closet? NOT US!
We love the holidays in Sumpter!
We admit, there is no “hustle and bustle” of shopping at the mall in Sumpter- no “busy sidewalks” nobody ringing a bell on every corner. So why come to Sumpter for the holidays? When’s the last time you enjoyed a quiet holiday with your family, played in the snow, drank hot chocolate, and watched a Christmas Parade – all in one day? Oh, if you’re worried about missing your favorite Christmas movie on TV – no worries….each log cabin has a tv with cable! If you’re wondering about dinner….go ahead and cook at home….then bring it with you to enjoy in the cozy warmth of an authentic log labin! Each of our log cabins come equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, sink, and all the plates and utensils you need to enjoy a complete holiday meal with your family! Before dinner…..take a short stroll down to the Sumpter Municipal Museum to enjoy an old-fashioned Christmas bazaar, followed by a Christmas Parade and much more! The folks in Sumpter are still planning all the fun events right now….but if a holiday weekend in Sumpter sounds good to you…..better get your reservations in now – while we still have room!
