Summer may not be here just yet…..but our Summer Hours are!
~ Effective Friday May 10th ~
Friday ~ Monday 7 am – 7 pm
Tuesday ~ Wednesday ~ Thursday 7 am – 2 pm
And that’s not all the good news……!
We will also be adding some new menu items soon – watch for them here…or give us a call!
Watch for dinner specials all summer!
Summer means it’s time to play in Sumpter……so come on up and stay for dinner!
Sumpter Fun is just around the corner!
It’s spring – bet you already knew that 
Not only is it great to be able to see our grass again…..but lots of good things are happening in Sumpter (more details later.) The next time you stop by, be sure to take a look at a few of our favorite photos from this winter on our photo wall! We had a blast in the snow this year…but it’s all gone now. 
Time to put the snowmobiles and snowshoes away for a few months and turn our thoughts to life without snow. Here in Sumpter….life without the white stuff means lots of new adventures!
You may think it’s too early to start talking about summer…..until you take a look at the calendar!
Of course the first thing we would like to talk about is our hours! Beginning in May, as with every year, we will once again be open for Dinner! More details coming soon!
Next, the Sumpter Valley Dredge State Heritage Area will be opening May 1st. The dredge will be once again open to tours and the interpretive store will also be open. Friends of The Dredge will be holding it’s Annual Meeting April 13th and everyone is invited! See details here.
The whistle will be blowing in Sumpter again when the historic steam train begins running in May as the Sumpter Valley Railroad opens it’s season May 24th during the Memorial Day Flea Market. See the 2013 train schedule here.
Speaking of Flea Markets, the first of three Flea Markets in Sumpter will be the Memorial Day Flea Market – May 24th – May 27th. Learn more about Sumpter Flea Markets here.
So if old man winter locked has had you locked inside these past few months…..just break the door down and take a spring trip to Sumpter!

Thanks to everyone who took time out of their winter adventures to stop in at
the Scoop-N-Steamer Restaurant and those who stayed with us in our Log Cabins too!
We sure have been having a lot of fun in the snow this season…one reason we live here is because of the spectacular winters in Sumpter! We have also enjoyed meeting everyone who has come to Sumpter to play in the snow…..and we were wondering….do you have a favorite photo of your winter adventure that you would like to share with us?

Sumpter Poker Run Special
In case you haven’t heard….it’s Poker Run time!
The 2013 Sumpter Poker Run is this Saturday, February 16th and to celebrate, we will be having Poker Run Breakfast Specials for breakfast and lunch….
Fresh Salmon Omelette ~ Served from 7 to 11 am
Seafood Fettuccine with fresh grilled shrimp served from 11 am to 2 pm
Enjoy the Winter Bazaar at the Sumpter Museum from 9 am to 4 pm. See more info here.

Free Candy Canes in Sumpter!
We are so excited
about the Sumpter Christmas Celebration tomorrow…..
we will be giving a free candy cane to everyone who comes by the restaurant.
We will be open from 7 am – 2 pm.
After a ride on the Sumpter Christmas Train and shopping the Christmas Bazaar at the Sumpter Museum, stop by for lunch or a snack….

The fun gets started at 9 a.m. and there will be fun events throughout the day!

There will be an old-fashioned Christmas Bazaar at the Sumpter Municipal Museum, the traditional Sumpter Christmas Parade…..and before the parade, you can take a ride on the Sumpter Christmas Train!
Then, to top it all off……you can join us as we light the Sumpter Christmas Tree!
We will be open until the last train runs…….
